The Columbia-IBM Center for Blockchain and Data Transparency aims to encourage entrepreneurial behavior through the invention of new business models, services, and policies, and to incubate start-ups that would commercialize applications of these technologies. The Innovation Accelerator activities are focused on developing talent and an innovation pipeline, enhancing the capacity both to create new and to complement existing networks in blockchain and data transparency. The Center sponsors programs, including technical training, contests, and events, with the goal of taking promising ideas from education and research to potential commercialization.
